Prunus serrulata Kanzan, or Japanese ornamental cherry, is a medium-sized prunus species that can reach 12 m in height and 10 m in width in our region. This ornamental tree has vigorous growth, is initially vase-shaped, and then spreads widely. It is distinguished by its beautiful inflorescence of large, double, pure pink flowers in broad clusters and by its attractive leaves, which are initially bronze, then green, and finally a beautiful orange-red in autumn.
