For the garden, cut off the bottom of the bottle by 2–3 cm, pierce the indicated holes ("potting soil") with a nail if necessary, fill the cone with sand to within 2 cm of the rim, insert the bottle, and place the cone near the plant. Fill the bottle through the cut-off bottom. For flower pots, use a 1L bottle without cutting the bottom.
