Encierro is a creation of Les Passeurs de Vins, an import company founded by Lionel Osmin, the winemaker of Southwest France, and Imanol Harinordoquy, the energetic Basque. Their personal family histories have instilled in them strong ties to Spain, and they constantly travel through these Iberian vineyards, searching for hidden gems, stories, emotions, and encounters. This organic vintage is the fruit of their wanderings, which have taken them as far as La Mancha, south of Madrid, where only the windmills of Don Quixote stand out on the horizon. They named this wine "ENCIERRO" out of love for the ferias during which, at dawn, the revelers, already dressed in red and white, run with the bulls, released into the narrow streets of the city center. The intrepid will try to stay in front, while the others, more cautious, will follow behind. This moment is called the ENCIERRO in Spain. A few moments later, everyone will gather around tapas to discuss their exploits and get ready for the festivities...
