How to sow and grow chives in the vegetable garden? SOIL CHOICE: Common chives prefer cool, well-drained soil. They tolerate full sun. SOWING: Sow the aromatic seeds directly in place from February to June, in rows spaced 15cm apart. Sow approximately 4g per m². After 2 weeks, they will begin to germinate. Remember to water regularly, especially in the spring.
